The Way (Tao) of Martial Arts in Kickboxing

Quiet confidence. Real power.

This is athletic training built on technical skill and self-control. The goal is balance: a calm, positive demeanor outside the ring and power and precision inside it. You leave each session a sharper striker and a steadier person.

The sport

What is freestyle kickboxing?

Freestyle kickboxing is a competitive combat sport, usually held in a ring with gloves. People train it for competition, self-defense, fitness or simply for fun.

It grew out of the 1970s as a blend of Western boxing and karate. Rulesets vary, but it generally leaves out clinching, grappling, knees and leg kicks. The emphasis is boxing-style hands combined with kicks above the belt, fought continuously rather than stopping for points.
